Chat on WhatsApp without saving the number — or create a wa.me link with a pre-filled message for your business.

Message anyone on WhatsApp without saving their number

Need to send a quick WhatsApp to a delivery agent, a shop or someone you met once? Saving every number clutters your contacts. This WhatsApp direct chat tool opens a chat with any number in one tap, using WhatsApp's official click-to-chat link. It's also a handy wa.me link generator for small businesses: create a link with a pre-filled message for your Instagram bio, Google Business profile, posters or website.

How to use it

  1. Choose the country code (India +91 is selected) and type the number — spaces and dashes are fine.
  2. Optionally type a message or tap a template to pre-fill it.
  3. Tap Open chat in WhatsApp, or Copy link to share it anywhere.

How the link is built

https://wa.me/<country code><number>?text=<your message>

The number must include the country code without “+”, spaces or a leading zero, and the message is URL-encoded (spaces become %20).

Example

For +91 98765 43210 with the message “Hi, I want to place an order.” the link ishttps://wa.me/919876543210?text=Hi%2C%20I%20want%20to%20place%20an%20order. — tapping it opens a chat with the message ready to send.

Frequently asked questions

How do I send a WhatsApp message without saving the number?
Enter the number with its country code, tap “Open chat” and WhatsApp opens a chat with that number directly — no need to add it to your contacts. It uses WhatsApp’s official click-to-chat (wa.me) feature.
What is a wa.me link?
wa.me is WhatsApp’s official short link. https://wa.me/919876543210 opens a chat with +91 98765 43210, and adding ?text=… pre-fills a message. Businesses put these links on websites, Instagram bios and posters so customers can message them in one tap.
Why does it say the number is invalid?
WhatsApp numbers must include the country code and be 8–15 digits in total. Indian mobile numbers have 10 digits starting with 6, 7, 8 or 9. Don’t worry about spaces, dashes or a leading 0 — the tool removes them.
Is the number I enter stored anywhere?
No. The link is created on your device. The only place the number goes is WhatsApp itself, and only when you tap “Open chat”.
Can I add a WhatsApp chat button to my website?
Yes — copy the ready-made HTML button from the “For your website” section and paste it into your site. Visitors tap it to start a chat with your business number.
