A piano in your browser
Learning a tune, checking a note while you sing, or just having fun — this virtual piano gives you two octaves of responsive keys on any phone, tablet or computer. Play with several fingers at once, glide across the keys, or use your computer keyboard. Label the keys with Western notes (C D E) or Indian sargam (Sa Re Ga), shift octaves, hold notes with sustain, and record your tune to play it back.
How to play
- Tap a key (or press A S D F… on a keyboard). The first tap turns on the sound.
- Use − / + (or Z / X) to move through the octaves.
- Tap Record, play, then Play back to listen.
Try these simple tunes
- Happy Birthday (C major): G G A G C B · G G A G D C
- Twinkle Twinkle: C C G G A A G · F F E E D D C
- Sargam scale: Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa — the white keys from C to the next C.
Example
With labels set to Sa Re Ga, play the white keys from C upwards — Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa — which is the Bilawal thaat, the same as the Western C major scale. Record yourself playing it slowly, then play it back while you sing along to check your pitch. Tuning a guitar or ukulele instead? Use the online tuner.
