Free QR code generator
QR codes are everywhere in India — on shop counters for UPI, on menus, posters and wedding invitations. ThisQR code generator makes a code for a website link, a UPI payment, yourWi-Fi, a contact card, plain text, an SMS, an email or a phone number. Codes are created in your browser and contain the data directly, so they never expire, can't be tracked, and keep your details private. Download a sharp PNG for printing or an SVG for designers.
How to make a QR code
- Pick the type: Link, UPI, Wi-Fi, Contact and more.
- Fill in the details — the code updates as you type.
- Optionally change colours and add text under the code, then download.
- Scan it with your own phone before printing.
Printing tips
- Keep strong contrast: dark code on a light background. Light-on-dark codes don't scan on many phones.
- Print at least 2 × 2 cm for close scanning; bigger for posters seen from a distance.
- Leave the white border (quiet zone) around the code — it's part of the design.
Example
A tea stall owner enters the UPI ID chaiwala.raju@okicici, payee name Raju Tea Stall, leaves the amount empty and adds “Scan to pay” under the code. They download the 2048 px PNG, print it on A5, scan it once with PhonePe and once with Google Pay to confirm the name shows correctly, and stick it on the counter. Sharing a chat link instead?
