The classic snake game
Remember playing snake on your first mobile phone? This version brings back the simple fun with smooth controls for touchscreens: swipe to turn, eat the food to grow, and avoid crashing into the walls — or your own tail. Choose classic walls or wrap-around edges, normal or fast speed, and try to beat your high score. It loads in a second and works offline once opened.
How to play
- Tap Start. The snake moves on its own.
- Swipe, use the arrow buttons, or press the arrow keys to turn.
- Eat the red food to grow and score. The game ends if you hit a wall (in Walls mode) or yourself.
Tips for a high score
- Hug the edges early on, leaving the middle open for later.
- Move in loops (zig-zag rows) when you get long, so your tail always clears a path.
- Don't rush the food — plan a route that won't trap you afterwards.
- Try Wrap mode first if you're new; edges don't kill you there.
Example
A good first target is 20 points: by then the snake is 23 squares long and noticeably faster. Players who reach 50 usually switch to a serpentine pattern, sweeping back and forth across the board. Want another quick game? Try tic-tac-toe or test your reflexes with thereaction time test.
