Split a PDF or extract pages

Need just your Aadhaar page from a scanned bundle, one chapter from a textbook PDF, or separate files for each semester's mark sheet? This split PDF tool shows every page as a thumbnail so you can see exactly what you're taking. Pick pages by tapping them, type ranges like 1-3, 8-10, or cut the file into equal parts. Everything runs in your browser, so even large or private documents stay on your device.

How to split a PDF

  1. Choose your PDF. Page thumbnails appear below.
  2. Pick a method: Pick pages (tap thumbnails), Page ranges or Every N pages.
  3. Tap Split PDF and download the result — several files come as one ZIP.

Which method should I use?

Keep pages 2 and 5 onlyPick pagesOne 2-page PDF
Chapters at 1-12, 13-30, 31-Page rangesThree PDFs
Each page separatelyEvery N pages, N = 1One PDF per page

Example

A 10-page scan contains a mark sheet (pages 1-2), a caste certificate (3) and an income certificate (4-5), followed by blank pages. Typing 1-2, 3, 4-5 produces three tidy PDFs, ready to upload to the right fields of a scholarship form. To remove pages instead, use Delete PDF Pages; to combine files, use Merge PDF.

Frequently asked questions

How do I extract a few pages from a PDF?
Choose the PDF, keep “Pick pages” selected and tap the pages you want (they get a ✓). Tap Split PDF and download a new file containing only those pages, in their original order.
How do I split a PDF into several files?
Choose “Page ranges” and type ranges separated by commas, such as 1-3, 4-6, 7-. Each range becomes its own PDF (“7-” means page 7 to the end). Or choose “Every N pages” to cut the file into equal parts.
How do I download many files at once?
When the split creates more than one file, tap “Download all (ZIP)” to get them in a single ZIP file, or download each one separately.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied exactly — text stays selectable and images keep their resolution. Splitting usually also makes each file smaller, which helps with upload limits.
Is it safe for confidential documents?
Yes. The PDF is processed by your browser on your device and is never uploaded to any server.
