Attendance calculator
Falling short of attendance can stop you from writing your exams. This attendance calculatorshows your current percentage and answers the two questions every college student asks: how many classes can I bunk and still stay above 75%, and if I'm already below, how many classes must I attend to get back up? It works with any requirement — 75%, 80%, 65% or your college's own rule.
How to use it
- Enter the classes you attended and the total classes held so far.
- Set your college's required percentage.
- Read how many classes you can miss, or must attend in a row.
Example
You've attended 45 of 50 classes — 90%. You can miss up to 10 moreclasses and still be exactly at 75% (45 of 60). A friend who attended only 30 of 50 (60%) must attend the next30 classes in a row to climb back to 75% (60 of 80). Plan your study time with thestudy timetable maker, and keep exam day in sight with theexam countdown.
Frequently asked questions
Why is 75% attendance required?
Most Indian universities, engineering and medical colleges, and boards follow the rule that students need at least 75% attendance to sit for exams. Some colleges allow a small relaxation (often down to 65%) for medical or other genuine reasons — check your institution’s rules.
How many classes can I skip and stay above 75%?
You can miss classes as long as attended ÷ (total + missed) stays at or above 0.75. With 45 of 50 classes attended, you can miss 10 more: 45 ÷ 60 = 75%. The calculator works it out instantly.
How many classes must I attend to reach 75%?
If you are below the requirement, you need to attend k classes in a row so that (attended + k) ÷ (total + k) ≥ 0.75. With 30 of 50, that is 30 more classes: 60 ÷ 80 = 75%.
Does it work for subject-wise attendance?
Yes — enter the numbers for one subject at a time, since many colleges check attendance per subject as well as overall.
