Am I eligible by age?
Every recruitment notification has an age window — and missing it by a single day means your form is rejected. This government exam age calculator works out your exact age on the cut-off date, applies the relaxation for your category, and tells you whether you're eligible. It also shows the eligible birth-date window, the way notifications phrase it (“born not earlier than … and not later than …”), so you can match it to the notice.
How to use it
- Enter your date of birth as on your Class 10 certificate.
- Choose the exam (or Custom) and check the cut-off date from the notification.
- Select your category and any additional relaxation.

Example
A candidate born on 2 August 1994 checks UPSC CSE with the cut-off 1 August 2026. They are 31 years, 11 months and 30 days old — still under 32, so eligible as General. A friend born one day earlier, on 1 August 1994, turns 32 exactly on the cut-off and is over-age for General, but eligible with the 3-year OBC relaxation. Counting down to the exam?
